Castles by the Sea is a puzzly sandcastle-building game for 1-4 players. As a group of tiny folk called "shorelings," your goal is to build and populate a seaside kingdom.

Each turn, you\'ll place blocks and meeples on the map to earn victory points. The core gameplay is similar to abstract strategy games like Santorini, in that players must optimize three-dimensional placement on a shared grid.

Occasionally, I’ve heard it said that some players build their clinic nearly the same way every time, and that the construction part of the game lacks variety. So, in The Extension, I added Urban Design 1.0 to require different floor plans, and Underground Utility Work to reduce the available space and to resize and reconfigure your player boards however you want.

In Ctrl, players try to dominate a cube by crawling over it with their colored bricks, preferably covering other players\' bricks along the way.

In more detail, you start with a 3×3×3 cube that has one block of each player color stuck into one of the cube\'s holes. (In a two-player game, each player controls two colors, but at the start of play they secretly choose one of those colors to be their scoring color, with the other color serving only as a blocking mechanism.) Each player has a matching colored flag that sticks out of their block.
