The difference between victory and defeat could be a single card.

In Fiji players make offerings of colored beads over a series of four rounds. To win a round players aim to have the most or fewest beads of each color. A set of condition and effect cards is laid out for each round which determines who will win extra beads.
Caribbean
The board shows the Caribbean in the 18th century. Six pirate ships lie in wait on the sea. They are ready to pillage the rich ports or to rob the booty from other ships. The sea is divided into spaces. Each player has three safe havens marked in his color on the board.
O Zoo le Mio
All players are zoo directors and try to attract the most visitors to their zoos. Success comes to the player who creates the largest attractions.
Gnumies
Gnumies are several races of alien space-faring creatures who love to party. They have parties as often as possible and invite all their friends, but try to avoid having certain party-crashers as guests. Getting families to come gives players extra points, but allowing gate-crashers in, loses points.

My City
My City is a unique, family-oriented legacy gaming experience that is played in relatively short episodes. The game consists of 24 different episodes beginning with the development of a city in its early preindustrial stages and progressing through industrialisation.
During each game, players customise their experience by adding elements to their own boards. Players’ choices and actions made during one session of gameplay carry over into the next session, creating a personalised gaming experience. For players who do not want to experience My City as a legacy game, a double-sided game board offers an alternate setup for repeatable play.
Claim
The King is dead! What happened? Nobody really knows, but he was found face down in a wine barrel this morning. It could have been either foul play or his own thirst that did him in. Regardless, the King is dead without any known heirs, so it\'s up to the five factions of the realm to decide who will be the new king: Will it be you or your opponent? Do you have what it takes to win over the realm\'s factions?
High Society
In Reiner Knizia\'s High Society, players bid against each other to acquire the various trappings of wealth (positive-number and multiplier cards) while avoiding its pitfalls (negative number and divisor cards). While bidding, though, keep an eye on your remaining cash - at the end of the game, even though all those positive-number cards might add up to a win, the player with the least money isn\'t even considered for victory.
